Meet Jahura Hobby, a self-taught makeup artist who turned a side passion into a thriving full-time career. And yes, her last name really is Hobby, which could not be more fitting. Once a practicing Dental Hygienist, Jahura traded in her dental tools for makeup brushes as her true passion grew.

After years of freelancing through college, Jahura opened her own studio in the vibrant Royal Oak area of metro Detroit in 2017. Known for her signature style that fuses timeless South Asian bridal looks with a modern polished style, she has become one of Michigan’s most sought-after bridal artists. Her eye for detail and her ability to bring out each bride’s natural beauty have earned her a loyal clientele, and now she and her talented team are flown across the country and around the world to glam brides for their big day.
